The James Hardie exterior on this new build is a gorgeous case study in contrasts: vertical and horizontal lines, black and white (well, almost white). It is not overly complicated, but it does stand out! Mixing board and batten with lap siding is a nice way to break up a wall and adding contrasting colors maximes the impact.
